Why this work matters
I became a counselor because I believe everyone deserves to live the fullest version of their life — not a version shaped by old stories, other people’s expectations, or wounds they’ve been carrying alone for years.
We all have a story. The one we tell ourselves about who we are, what we deserve, and what’s possible. Often, that story was written in pain — and it isn’t the truth. Together, we rewrite it in a way that reflects who you actually are and who you want to become.
I specialize in working with adults (ages 25+) navigating anxiety, relationships, shame, career pressure, depression, and life transitions. I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist, helping clients heal from trauma at the root.
Areas of Specialization
Counseling Services
Anxiety & Stress
For those who feel constantly overwhelmed, on edge, or unable to quiet the internal noise — even when life looks fine from the outside.
Women's Counseling
Navigating identity, relationships, self-worth, motherhood, career, and the complicated, beautiful experience of being a woman.
Relationships & Family
Repairing patterns, improving communication, and building the kind of connections you actually want — with others and yourself.
Life Transitions
Career shifts, loss, divorce, new chapters — the moments that shake your sense of self and invite you to redefine who you are.
A Specialized Approach
Heal what words alone cannot reach.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and release traumatic memories — without requiring you to relive them in detail. As a Certified EMDR Therapist, Amee guides clients through this transformative process with care and precision.
How EMDR Works
1 History & Preparation
We identify the experiences that need processing and prepare your nervous system to engage safely.
2 Bilateral Stimulation
Using guided eye movements, tapping or hand buzzers, your brain reprocesses distressing memories at a neurological level.
3 Integration & Relief
Traumatic memories lose their emotional charge and new, healthier beliefs take root in their place.
My Approach
Therapy that meets
you exactly where you are.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person who sits across from me brings a unique history, nervous system, and set of strengths. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and other evidence-based methods — always tailored to you.
Safety First
Real change starts in an environment where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and free to be yourself without judgment.
Your Whole Story
We look at the full picture — not just symptoms, but the patterns, history, and beliefs shaping your present experience.
Lasting Change
The goal isn’t to feel better for a session — it’s to give you tools, insight, and freedom that stay with you long after therapy ends.
READY TO START
Your next chapter starts with one step.
