Premarital Counseling

 

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!  It is a wonderful time and I would be happy and excited to work with you in having a beautiful wedding and lasting marriage!

 

Weddings are a beautiful and happy time.  We do so much to prepare for the perfect day... the perfect dress, location, photographer, delicious cake, beautiful flowers, best friends and family standing next to us.  But, what about tools to help that beautiful day turn into a beautiful and lasting marriage? 

 

That is one thing many overlook.  I am here to help with that very important step in life.  I offer a premarital counseling package that will help you look at all aspects of your relationship.  We will talk about things that work in the relationship as well as what will happen when things don’t necessarily work. What about in-laws?  We will discuss families and family dynamics.  What about career, moving, children, finances?  We will work through that as well.  This can give you a great blueprint for your marriage and tools to use throughout your marriage when you hit that bump in the road.  

 

I am an approved premarital counselor for Orange County.  Florida law requires a minimum of four hours of premarital counseling in order to receive a discount on your marriage license.  Below are the areas that will be covered during your four premarital counseling sessions:

 

1.    Family of Origin;

2.    Couples Communication;

3.    Relationship Foundation; and

4.   Overall marriage goals and intention for your future.

 

Once the sessions are completed, you will receive a Certificate of Completion (which is required by the Court) to be presented at the Clerk of Court's office in order to receive your marriage license.
